KEDC Board of Director's Meeting

KEDC - Serving 45 years of Excellence in Education.

The Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC) will be celebrating its 45th Anniversary on November 17, 2010. There will be an open house for the public from 3:00pm -5:00pm.
KEDC is Kentucky’s oldest and largest educational service agency. Sixty-eight school districts from across the state are members of KEDC. KEDC was originally formed in 1965 by 17 local school districts as an effort to cooperatively apply for federal grant funds to service local schools and was one of the first sites in Kentucky to own a mainframe computer to process payroll services. Over the years, KEDC has grown to include district members from across the state and has expanded its menu of services to include cooperative bidding, Superintendent support, instructional support, technology support, and consulting services to member schools.

KEDC is located in the former Ironville Elementary School building which it purchased from Boyd County Schools in 1994. After extensive renovation the building has been transformed to include a state of the art conference center and meeting facility.  The public is welcome to attend our open house from 3:00pm – 5:00pm and refreshments will be served.
